Pony Rides

So last week the Mommies Group organized pony rides at a local stable for all of the little ones. Everyone had a great time, except a few of the ones that are around Than's age were terrified of the ponies when they got right up next to them. Than as usual had absolutely no fear. He absolutely loved every second on and around the horses.

Than staring at, and trying to climb in with the miniture sicilian donkeys they had there. He was the only child successful at getting the donkeys or other horses to willingly come over and see him.

He had such an amazing time on the pony that I am going to try to take him back for a longer ride next week. They had little stairs to help the kids get up to the ponies, and right after Than got off from his ride he ran right over, pushed another kid out of the way and climbed back to the top of the stairs...making it very clear he wanted to go again.

The only major drawback is that Than once again proved that he is allergic to alfalfa and hay. Some of it was blowing in the wind, and the longer we were there the more his nose ran, eyes watered and started to swell. So right after his turn I loaded him up and took him home. He wanted to stay with all the others, they were getting to feed the donkeys (alfalfa, so a really bad plan for Than) but it was time to go.
