This last weekend included a very brief visit from my dad. He was in Connecticut for a dart tournament and took the opportunity to come up and visit us for a few hours. As he did better at the tournament than expected (and therefore had to stay longer) we got a little less time to visit than we thought we would. But the important thing is that he got to spend a little bit of time with Than.
Than was initially very sleepy and confused when Grandpa showed up since people don't usually show up at bedtime...but in the morning he was his typical excited little self and had fun playing with Grandpa. My dad was able to visit this same time last year right after we brought Than home from the NICU (same dart tournament) and it puts how much Than has grown in perspective. Last time when he was here Than was about 4 lbs and slept 90% of the time. He is a wee bit more active now....
