Very Busy Night

Last night Ryan and I watched Jenn and Eric's 3 kids so that they could go out to dinner for their anniversary. As you can guess Than was thrilled to have Alvin and the girls, Erin and Emali, over to play. Alvin and Than are so funny together but now that they are both climbing up on things you can't take your eyes off them for a second. All night they were alternately sharing food or blatantly snatching it out of each others mouths. During dinner Than was in his highchair and Alvin was roaming around getting food from everyone else's plates (his current prefered method of eating) and Than wanted to share so he started throwing his spagetti down for Alvin, so from his perspective it was raining spagetti.

As you can see in the photo the girls just adore Ryan because he can rough house with them, spin them around and such. So unfortunately for him they never leave him alone and are constantly demanding that he give them airplane rides or something. Which wears him out pretty darn fast, especially after a long day where he was already exhausted. We spent a lot of time drawing with the girls and helping Erin with her alphabet workbook. It was a good night and thankfully since they love us the kids were very well behaved, just hyper.

I always find nights like that pretty funny because it always has Ryan determining that Than will be an only child, which is funny because he flip flops on that subject so frequently. Basically it depends on how tired he is as to wether he thinks we can handle another kid. So the only thing we know for sure is that sweet and wonderful as they are 4 is way too many for us to have on a daily basis.
